3. ‘Unprecedented’

If you’re going to call something “unprecedented,” then you should at least make sure it’s somewhat accurate.

Paul Heyman sold a major announcement by WWE Champion Brock Lesnar by saying that it was unprecedented. The news? Brock would enter the Royal Rumble match… at #1.

The rub here is that Heyman intimated that no WWE Champion had ever entered the Rumble at #1… which simply isn’t true. Roman Reigns entered at #1 just a scant four years ago, with the title on the line.

Maybe that’s what Heyman meant. Maybe it’s that for the first time ever, a world champion is entering the Rumble at #1 and not putting his title on the line. Because that is a hell of a selling point.

Regardless, the announcers and WWE social media sold it as “unprecedented,” so you couldn’t even default to Paul E lying. The best you could do is think of this classic movie moment:
