If you followed NXT in 2016-17, it was impossible to not get caught up in the feud between The Revival and DIY, Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano.

The four men got back into the ring together Monday night for a tag match. While it didn’t live up to previous TakeOver matches, it was a pretty good bout, with Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder getting physical and slapping, chopping and suplexing their opponents. But in the end, Ciampa and Gargano pulled out the win.

There is a legit gripe about the new Raw Tag Team Champions losing a tag match like this right away, but acknowledging their history and that DIY had beaten them before gave a little credence and leverage to the situation.

For this one night, Ciampa and Gargano got to shine in front of a larger televised audience. Hopefully, they get more opportunities and are handled properly, because they’ve been magnificent in NXT.
