On the one hand, Braun Strowman is one of WWE’s most popular stars, more of an attraction who gets a solid reaction from fans.

But at the same time, Strowman has found himself on the short end of the stick when it comes to WrestleMania.

Two years ago, Braun competed in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal on the WM 33 kickoff show – and he didn’t even win. That “honor” went to Mojo Rawley (who currently is yelling at himself in a mirror on Raw). Last year, he won the Raw Tag Team Championships with a 10-year-old boy in a stunt of a match.

And this year, Strowman is again competing in the battle royal, while being more worried about Saturday Night Live Weekend Update hosts Michael Che and Colin Jost. Because reasons. Nevermind he’s not competing for a title or against any of the guys who busted his elbow a while back or anything like that.

It’s just baffling to see Braun take a backseat like this at the biggest show of the year, but this seems to be an annual thing. Who knew?
