6 Ups And 9 Downs From WWE Battleground 2016

5. It’s Bayley!

Everyone can breathe a sigh of relief. WWE wasn’t dumb enough to reveal Sasha Banks’ mystery partner as Nikki Bella.

That’s not meant to be a knock against Nikki. But the moment that the tag match was announced and Sasha had to find a partner, every fan had to assume (and most probably wanted) it to be the former NXT Women’s Champion who would team with the BOSS. Anyone else would have been roundly and soundly booed.

Now of course, there is plenty of room to criticize WWE for debuting Bayley in a throwaway tag match like this and possibly have it be a one-shot deal, but for the sole fact that WWE didn’t let the fans down with the mystery partner, that alone will get a thumbs-up.
