Say what you will about Fandango and Tyler Breeze being a thrown-together team that has been treated like jobbers – and all of that is true – but you’ve got to start (over) somewhere. And that somewhere might have been Sunday night at Battleground.

Breeze and Fandango (their team name is so mind-numbingly dumb that it doesn’t deserve to be mentioned) somewhat surprisingly won their kickoff show match against the Usos in about as clean a fashion as a heel tag team can these days, with Prince Pretty getting his knees up for a splash attempt and turning it into a small package for the three count.

The match itself wasn’t anything special, but at least it looks like WWE recognized that the Usos are beyond stale at this point. The brothers have been on the main roster for six years and have barely evolved as characters, and the fans made it clear they wanted Breeze and Fandango to win.

Now, let’s just hope they don’t go 50/50 and trade that win on SmackDown.
