Remember when Rusev debuted in WWE last year and embarked on a yearlong undefeated run, winning the United States Championship as part of that run? Now, the Bulgarian Brute hides behind his gorgeous fiancée or has her feign injury to gain the upper hand in matches. That€™s exactly what happened to close out a snoozer of a match between Rusev and Ryback, with the Big Guy stumbling back from a hit toward Lana. The Ravishing Russian pretended to get hit and went down, distracting Ryback long enough for Rusev to kick him, roll him back into the ring and ultimately crush him. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GvZiEXsgstw So what exactly was that supposed to do? The match itself was bad, so what was the purpose of it? Rusev throwing it in fans€™ faces that he won Lana€™s heart and going out and beating people up would be one way to stick it to the crowd. But this isn€™t really working. There€™s something critical missing €“ and no, it€™s not more making out.
