You almost have to feel bad for someone like Jack Swagger, an accomplished amateur wrestler who has had brushes of stardom in WWE but has never found the right formula for success. Swagger has won the ECW and United States Championships, but lately hes just been an afterthought. Thats why the result of Sundays chairs match against Alberto Del Rio was never in doubt. Swagger merely was standing in as a challenger for the title until John Cena can return from filming a TV show (which is the real reason, but God only knows if that will be the storyline reason) to seek his U.S. title rematch. Swagger emerged from hiding (or wherever WWE keeps performers not on television) for this feud and will probably go right back there tomorrow. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HQpUdZy92TY Its a shame. Swagger could be a credible threat for a singles title, but its doubtful well see anything more than a brief flare like we did this past month.
