6 Ups And Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Feb 17)

DOWNS€

6. Sheamus Is Coming€ And?

Sheamus delivers solid matches consistently, often pulling out tremendous brawls and delivering some great performances. But for the past year-plus, he€™s really been directionless, lost in the shuffle near the top of the card. Sheamus is treated as a top-tier guy most of the time, but WWE can€™t seem to decide what to do with him. They seemingly want him to be a top face, but then he Brogue Kicks people without provocation. So now Sheamus€™ return from injury is being plugged in vignettes. But how is he coming back? Will he just be the smiling babyface without a real purpose other than kicking people? Or will he return with an edge, with a chip on his shoulder? And why return now? All the major programs seem to be jammed up. WWE desperately needs top heels right now. Big Show and Kane aren€™t going to cut it any longer. Sheamus needs a purpose when he returns. Attacking John Cena during his Fastlane bout against Rusev or joining the Authority as their new heavy would freshen him up. Until we€™re shown otherwise, this looks like a straight return to action.
