6 Ways To Work Paige VanZant Into WWE Programming
2. Have Paige Enter The WWE Alongside Brock Lesnar
At SummerSlam, Brock Lesnar will return to WWE, whether he wins or loses against Mark Hunt at UFC 200 (barring any injury sustained in the fight at least).
Given that little tidbit, it's rather interesting that WWE are interested in Paige VanZant for SummerSlam. Her manager confirmed the news this week, so there's obviously fire behind that smoke, but what could it mean? Is it coincidence, or do they feel that packaging Paige with the Beast would be an angle worthy of the big Summer show?
If we're being honest, SummerSlam isn't what it used to be. Maybe it's due to the prevalence of PPV events, but it's a far cry from WrestleMania or even the Royal Rumble. Would adding Paige change that? Probably not. However, it could give the show a temporary boost by bringing in some UFC fans and Dancing with the Stars viewers.
On the flip side, however, Brock Lesnar has never really had a partner, valet, or anyone besides Paul Heyman in WWE. Heyman, frankly, is all he needs. So mixing Paige in - especially with her babyface personality - would be straight out of left field.
Then again, it would get people talking, and that's what the WWE is aiming for in courting VanZant.
