6 Worst Handled Characters In WWE NXT History

5. Emma

During her tenure on NXT Emma was amongst the crowd's favorite acts, even if most fans who only watch Raw and Smackdown may find that hard to beleive. Since her debut on the main roster, when she was in the crowd at ringside holding signs up featuring her catchphrases, fans have not known how to take her. What has been lost in translation? During NXT's debut episode on the WWE Network several vignettes aired with the intent of introducing characters to the new audience the show hoped to receive. Despite the fact that Emma had joined the main roster & new fans should have known her better than almost anyone on the roster, one of those features was about her. The vignette explained how she was a fun loving, goofy, clumsy Aussie who just so happened to be one hell of a wrestler with a funny dance. In less than a minute they got across everything there was to like about the character. How was her debut on Raw handled? Nothing about what had previously made her a success was explained to this new, much larger audience. Santino pulled her out of the crowd to do a strange dance that made no sense to anyone who didn't watch her in NXT and the only reason the crowd reacted to her was Santino's obviously prompting. If they aired the vignette that was shown on NXT, the audience would understand her character. As it is most fans don't know what to make of her and a talented performer is going to waste. Emma's recent legal troubles, firing, rehiring and lack of appearances on WWE televison at all are certainly not good signs of things to come.
