As the story goes, Trish Stratus was working as a gym receptionist in 1998 when the publisher of MuscleMag approached her and coyly asked if she'd be interested in taking some shots. At first, Trish likely thought the guy was a pest, but she agreed and ended up gracing the magazine's cover a few months later.

That led to interest from WWE in 1999.

Without the glamour model portfolio, Stratus would never have been signed by the company. Her shots caught WWE management's eye, and her life was flipped 180 degrees by that one convo with the MuscleMag chief. Before that, Trish was happily working part-time in the gym and was coming off a biology course at university.

One of wrestling's most famous and celebrated female stars got her start due to a series of events she could never have predicted. Firstly, Trish didn't know the publisher was going to approach her. Secondly, she had no way of knowing how eye-catching her model work would be to a wrestling juggernaut.
