November 15, 1998: Won WWF Championship in a tournament final over Mankind, St. Louis, MO April 30, 2000: Won WWF Championship from Triple H, Washington, DC January 27, 2013: Won WWE Championship from CM Punk, Phoenix, AZ Rock satisfied the qualifications for this list with what many fans saw as a transparent plan to put over John Cena at WrestleMania XXIX. To that end, Rock went over on Punk at the 2013 Royal Rumble, ending Punk's staggering fourteen-month reign as WWE Champion. Rock proved his power as a drawing card regardless, and few of those fans would argue his place as marquee performer during the Attitude Era in which he racked up most of his reigns to begin with.
