6 Wrestlers Who Suffered Most From WWE Royal Rumble 2018
5. Carmella
To be fair, Carmella was technically an active competitor in the inaugural women's Rumble for just shy of 20 minutes. That's roughly one-third of the match, and considerably longer than the likes of Bayley, Naomi and Mickie James managed.
There are one or two caveats here though. First, a solid chunk of that time was spent lying down on the entrance ramp, after she was hit with her own briefcase by Vickie Guerrero of all people. She also didn't score a single elimination, eventually getting chucked out by a returning Nikki Bella.
None of this would be bad if Carmella was just another, mid-ranking member of the SmackDown female ranks, but - in theory - she's supposed to be next in line for an opportunity at current champ Charlotte; a pairing that is starting to seem ridiculously mismatched.
With Ronda Rousey making her WWE bow on Sunday, and (presumably) setting up a WrestleMania date with Charlotte in the process, it's likely Miss Money in the Bank will have to defer her title shot until at least April. That's nearly a year after she won the thing.
