6 Wrestlers Whose Recent Push Complaints Weren’t Warranted

Sometime, it simply isn't WWE's Fault.

Since their inception, social media, and the internet as a whole, have played a very interesting role in the genre of entertainment we call professional wrestling.

One of the most notable ways outlets like Twitter have been used by WWE Superstars is to complain about how their being utilized by the company. There have been several wrestlers who have had very public grievances with WWE, which they haven't been shy about sharing on social media or with other online news sources.

That being said, just because a certain star has thousands (sometimes even millions) of online followers to hear their gripes, doesn't mean these gripes are necessarily legitimate.

In truth, many of the wrestlers who have complained in recent months have been given several opportunities to shine and been featured prominently on WWE television. Moreover, there are also a handful of Superstars that haven't yet shown enough to warrant a major push.

To illustrate the previous points, let us take a look at six examples of recently disgruntled WWE stars, whose online complaints weren't quite as valid as they would like fans to think...

6. Tyler Breeze

Last March, Breeze posted several tweets stating that he wasn't happy with how he was being utilized in WWE. These included comments such as 'Eventually you say No Thank you I’m worth more….' and 'Been under-utilized or whatever you wanna call it for 4 years.'

The term 'mid-carder' has often been used in a negative context in recent years. This is why acts like Breeze have seemingly become increasingly discontent.

Based on what we've seen so far from him, Breeze seems very much like a mid-card act, and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. His mic skills are average, and his matches are generally solid, but he hasn't shown anything up to this point that would indicate he's being under-utilized.

Despite the negative connotations, being a mid-carder in WWE (or NXT) generally means you are among the best professional wrestlers in the world. 'Hacksaw' Jim Duggan, Jimmy Snuka, and the Road Dogg are just a few examples of predominately mid-card acts from the past that had excellent careers — and most casual fans still remember them today.

True, Breezeango isn't the sort of act that's going to headline WrestleMania, but they did get a good deal of television time at one point. It's certainly possible that Breeze can take things to the next level in NXT this time around.

However, as it stands, WWE can't be blamed for using a mid-card talent in mid-card angles.
