6 Wrestling Finishers That Have Never Been Kicked Out Of

Testing the realms of reality as only he can - the stupid f*cking geek, bless him - John Cena's most recent addition to his featherlite repertoire looks even dafter than Chris Jericho's Judas Effect. Worse still, it seems that way by design.

Picked up during a filming jaunt in China, Cena's appropriation of the cinematic strike went viral when he decked Elias with the overblown backfist during a rare house show appearance. This was all well and good - the sort of silliness a sweating Richard Keys would surely classify as "just banter".

Unfortunately, the same dark forces that ostensibly got that hairy-handed horror the deserved boot from Sky Sports were obviously back at work when WWE took to Australia for Super Showdown in 2018. With NXT's former 'Drifter' as his chosen foe yet again, Cena went through the same ludicrous martial arts motions before giving the singer a miniscule dinger on the nose for the win.

The audience has been saved the silliness ever since thanks mostly to his nonexistent in-ring schedule, but Cena should hope he doesn't try it on outspoken critic Samoa Joe if and when the pair ever meet again. From his violent vitriol, it's apparent how hard he'd absolutely smash it, given half the chance.
