1. Maria
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OPLXBrHYYiA Maria Kanellis was the perfect choice to play a ditzy backstage interviewer joining WWE in 2005. She quickly became known for her doe-eyes and confused tilt of her head, not to mention her smoking hot photo shoots. Maria bounced around various plot lines and matches but it was clear Maria's wrestling wasn't enough to put her in serious title contention. When she posed for Playboy in 2008 the buzz wasn't even enough to earn Maria a Wrestlemania title shot: she was on the losing side of a Playboy BunnyMania Lumberjill match (whatever that is). It soon became clear that Maria was putting in the time and effort and was indeed improving as an in-ring competitor but the hard work never paid off. Sadly, Maria also failed to capture the Divas Championship when she was shipped to Smackdown. Before Maria left WWE she was honored with a Slammy Award for Diva of the Year and received mainstream exposure on Celebrity Apprentice. After rumors of a WWE return surfaced, Maria would go on to publicly blame the Bella Twins for her not being rehired. Despite a recent apology, it remains to be seen if Maria ever makes it back to WWE. If she does, she might be the only Diva on this list with a chance to finally be crowned a female Champion. Did this list miss anybody of note? Was there anyone on here you did or didn't think deserved a run? Comment below!
