Of all the feuds Bray Wyatt has had, he's arguably produced his best matches when in there against Roman Reigns. That may not be a popular opinion, but just look at bouts the pair had, back-to-back, at Battleground and then Hell In A Cell. The second one is more obviously brutal, but that shouldn't discount the first.

The previous month at Money In The Bank, Bray had attacked Roman during the Ladder Match Reigns was engaged in. Preventing him from winning, Wyatt then started using the line, 'anyone but you, Roman' in reference to the WWE Title. That helped give their rivalry some prestige.

It would have been easy for WWE to then book instant revenge for Reigns at Battleground, but they chose not to. That was a shrewd move, because it helped Bray back up what he was saying in promos for a while, before Reigns eventually gave him his comeuppance at Hell In A Cell.

For close to 25 minutes, Bray and Reigns worked wonders at Battleground. The whole match came across as two young lions looking to prove themselves.
