7 Clues Dolph Ziggler Is Winning WWE Royal Rumble 2018

Hear us out...

When it comes to Dolph Ziggler, many fans seem to have an opinion. There are arguments that he deserves to have at least one decent World Championship run before his time in the WWE comes to close; others think he should leave and seek pastures new in another company. Yet more spectators don't want to see him in a ring at all anymore. A decade-long feud midcard feud with Kofi Kingston will do that.

No matter what you think of the man, there's no denying that he's put a lot of time and effort into his WWE career. He's a 12 year company veteran, and has a long list of accolades that he can always be proud of.

However, there is one thing that Ziggler hasn't achieved: a Royal Rumble match win.

Ziggler may not have been booked well through 2017, and his recent month offscreen has had a few people wondering if The Showoff's time is up. But, if you look a little closer, there are several signs that point towards 2018 being one of Ziggler's best years yet - and it can all start with a victory at the Royal Rumble.

Obviously, WWE fails at elementary storytelling - but have almost inadvertently walked a*se-backwards into something logical here...

7. AJ Styles Vs. Shinsuke Nakamura Won’t Happen At ‘Mania

Since Money in the Bank 2017, it's been more of a matter of 'when' AJ Styles will face Shinsuke Nakamura, as opposed to 'if'. It's a match that wrestling fans worldwide are chomping at the bit to see, and people have been speculating all year round that the dream match will take place at WrestleMania 34 - especially since, in atypical form, WWE hasn't yet spunked it away on free TV.

Alas, when it comes to the 'Mania card, we fans rarely get what we ask for at The Show of Shows.

The title scene at 'Mania for the last several years has been made up of pairings that nobody wanted - most notably the inclusion of Roman Reigns at WrestleManias 31 and 32. And 33, probably. The bout last year between Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt was also received poorly; Orton didn't need the spotlight or the Championship.

However, that's not to say we don't get our dream matches. WWE has given us a Triple Threat between the three members of The Shield, we've seen Samoa Joe take Brock Lesnar to the limit, and John Cena's feud with AJ Styles was one of Cena's best in recent memory - but most of those bouts took place at B shows.

People watch ‘Mania regardless of the card, so big matches take place elsewhere to increase Network subscriptions. AJ still needs a good opponent to challenge for his crown (if he's still Champ in April), and a heel Ziggler would match up very well against the Phenomenal One.
