7 Days Of Wrestling Podcasts To Fill Your Week

2. Saturday: Review-A-Wai

Rutten and Ranallo
Fight Network

Welcome to the weekend! The very same John Pollock and Wai Ting from Monday and Tuesday's Raw & SmackDown reviews return for a trip down memory lane, where they look back on a new classic wrestling show each week. Well suited for fans of OSW Review, the New Generation Project, or Attitude Era Podcast, but guaranteed every week.

John and Wai have been at this since 2009, and OSW Review fans will note the written feedback in many earlier episodes from none other than Jay Hunter. The perfect way to enjoy your Saturday, since if you like what you hear, you've got the weekend ahead of you to watch the show yourself.

The First Impression:

Not too dissimilar from Monday's take, but worth noting that the guys tend to agree a lot more when looking back through the classic shows.

What Keeps You Coming Back:

First up, the opening banter from Review-A-Raw effectively gets a weekly Part 2 here, so there's that. Nonetheless, jumping back through time to watch old shows with John and Wai makes for a fun and often enlightening experience, as they compare the classic (often horribly dated) content with today's wrestling scene. Wai's dry wit carries you through, while John's sharp attention to detail gets a chance to shine in this format.
