7 Elaborate WWE Vignettes That Led To Nothing

The Devil's Adocate's run may have been brief, but at least he actually made it into the ring. That's more than can be said for Vade Hansen, a character who only ever appeared in SmackDown vignettes before being nixed.

Perhaps this was because the character itself was no different from a million others we had seen fail before. Promising to vanquish the wrestling world of its sinners might sound interesting on paper, but it's pretty bog-standard stuff for a new WWE recruit.

Rumours at the time suggested that the character - played by a British wrestler who had previously competed in the company's Florida developmental arm - was all set for a massive angle involving The Undertaker.

For some reason, though, execs ultimately went cold on the idea of putting a completely unknown rookie in the ring with one of wrestling's biggest stars, and decided that The Deadman was better off facing Shawn Michaels instead. Funny that.
