2. Seth Rollins Returns From 'Injury' At WWE SummerSlam 2025

No stranger to a great heist, Seth Rollins took things to a whole new level in the Summer of 2025. Having been taken off screen with what was presented as a legitimate injury during his match with LA Knight at Saturday Night's Main Event, something didn't quite smell right about the whole ordeal. The reporting on the injury was vague, and the timing of it (the same day as AEW had their biggest show of the year at All In) felt more than a little suspicious.

After a spectacular bout between the two in the main event of SummerSlam, Gunther had been dethroned as the World Heavyweight Champion by Rollins' long-time nemesis, CM Punk. As Punk held WWE gold for the first time in 12 years, his elation turned to deflation as Seth Rollins' music boomed over the PA. Arriving on crutches and with Paul Heyman carrying Seth's Money In The Bank briefcase, the tension reached a fever pitch.

The sight of Rollins throwing away his crutches before stealing Punk's moment and the WWE World Heavyweight Championship from under him was perfectly executed. That Seth suffered a long-term injury just two months later is a cruel twist of fate from the wrestling Gods.
