Bryan was supposed to headline one of the sets of house shows that are currently taking place in Europe right now. They split up the top two faces to give fans at least one of the two biggest fan favorites at the show they're at. John Cena is main eventing the other set of shows. Who main the European shows in Bryan's place? Roman Reigns, in singles matches against Randy Orton. They could have picked a tag match, but they didn't. They went with Reigns in singles. That's pretty telling. While Reigns is clearly a guy that WWE wants to push to the top when the time is right, this doesn't feel like the right time. It will most likely happen in the new year when he enters the Royal Rumble as a favorite and then goes to WrestleMania where he could leave as the WWE Champion. He's a big enough star right now that he's a possibility, but at this point it feels like an outside shot.
