7 Match Review From WWE House Show In Brighton, UK
6. Jack Swagger (With Zeb Colter) Beat Curtis Axel In 8:17
As a long term viewer of wrestling and a listener to Stone Cold Steve Austins podcast, I was delighted to see Zeb Colter (aka Dutch Mantell) in my hometown. He said that he quite liked Brighton Im not sure if that was a good sign or not, given his gimmick! Swagger is a deceptively large man. Axel worked hard, but nobody in attendance gave him a chance of winning the match. A largely unspectacular match saw Swagger get the win with the ankle lock. After the match, Zeb got on the mic and said that he usually speaks to real Americans, but as there werent any in the arena, he was speaking to real Englishmen, and got everyone to stand up and say We the people. Its amazing to think how an old school heel gimmick has now become a popular catchphrase with the WWE fans.
