7 Match Review From WWE House Show In Brighton, UK
7. Sheamus Beat The Miz (With Damien Mizdow) In 8:39
The crowd were hot, given that this was the opening match. Miz got booed whereas his stunt double, Mizdow, was cheered loudly. His gimmick is great and he was absolutely hilarious at ringside, re-enacting all of Mizs bumps and movements with a one second time delay. Sheamus got a great ovation from the crowd, with a lot of kids clearly being big Sheamus fans. I remember commentating on a few of Sheamuss pre-WWE matches here in the UK and he was always a nice guy and an excellent pro, so its fantastic to see him doing so well in the biggest promotion in the world. Sheamus won a largely one-sided match following his patented Brogue Kick. After this match, a video aired of Vince McMahon personally apologising for the indefinite delay of the WWE Network launch in the UK. This video was jeered by many and chants of Wheres our Network? almost drowned out the video itself!
