7 Match Star Ratings For WWE WrestleMania Backlash

4. Damian Priest Vs. The Miz - Lumberjack Match

Priest Zombies

A worrying or hilarious glimpse into WWE's tie-ins future, depending on your disposition, your writer, as a resident of Great Britain, watches these shows at an ungodly hour and at first didn't make the very obvious connection between the zombie lumberjacks (!) and the movie, Army Of The Dead, that sponsored the show.

The scene could just as easily have been WWE's attempt to make hard rockin' Damian Priest looker "cooler" and more "badass".

The Miz and Damian Priest had to sell this f*cking bullsh*t and also not sell it. They worked a match as the living dead had surrounded the damn ring, and for once that description didn't cover the Main Event roster.

There was probably some halfway decent TV match-adjacent stuff in here, but who could possibly care or remember? And what does it matter? Miz could have pulled off a double rotation moonsault, and the whole thing would have still sucked sh*t.

"My f*cking brains are about to get eaten. Oh no. Then again, these zombies are remarkably cognisant of the rules here, so maybe not. Let's just see how this threat of imminent disembowelment plays out while I try the figure-four".

An all-time atrocious professional wrestling moment, it will haunt the replies of every tweet fired off by a WWE vet telling indie guys off for lacking "psychology".

Fantastic.
