7 Men The Undertaker Should Have Faced At WrestleMania 31
4. Dean Ambrose
One prevailing argument about ending The Undertakers Streak has always been that the honor should have been given to an up-and-coming heel. After all, if WWE was going to reward someone with that victory, it makes sense to give it to a wrestler who should be around for years to come, and will probably spend most of their career as a villain. Dean Ambrose fits both of those traits. At 28-year-old, Ambrose has years left in the business. Hes already shown that hes one of the most promising heels to come along in years. He has a distinct and natural promo style, and is great at taking bumps. Once The Shield breaks up, Ambrose could be used to antagonize Undertaker while picking up some big victories along the way. The promos could have been phenomenal. He could have taken credit for putting him out of action once, and then swear to put him away for good. Ambrose also would have been a solid choice for a match with Taker because he doesnt rely on power moves like Brock Lesnar to fight. Hed have been far gentler on his body, and probably not left him feeling like hed been hit by a truck. The two could have still put on an entertaining brawl with Ambrose selling for him like crazy. Now, Ambrose should surely be getting some singles matches at WrestleMania in the next few years, but he wont ever get the rub of working a big program with Undertaker.
As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at."
Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week.
