7 Mistakes WWE Have Already Made With The Shield’s Reunion

7. Booking A Mini-Comeback

Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose could easily have worked as a tag-team without this semi-Shield reunion. The group would have been mentioned in passing, obviously, but Michael Cole and pals often refer to this team as The Shield on commentary when it's not. This is no more Shield than Ambrose teaming with Roman Reigns in 2015 was.

You can't have a full Shield comeback without all of the original members involved, otherwise it's not an actual reunion. WWE would have been better off avoiding any mention of The Shield until they were ready to do things properly. Right now, Ambrose and Rollins don't look, act or wrestle like they did when wearing the SWAT gear anyway.

Making fans think of The Shield without the music, ring attire, or kickass beatdowns they're famous for is an odd strategy from WWE. This is akin to Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman putting the Wyatt Family back together on Raw, only for the latter to continue doing a totally different gimmick.
