1. Hulk Hogan
It's fair to say that Hulk Hogan and Vince McMahon haven't always seen eye-to-eye. In fact, the relationship between both men has often been topsy turvy over the years. Generally speaking however, there has always been a place for Hogan in WWE, because he's one of the biggest-drawing stars in the promotion's rich history. That makes the events of 2015's Summer all the more stunning. Amidst racism allegations, Hulk Hogan left WWE in July. Recorded comments made years earlier were the cause, and it seems McMahon felt he'd be better keeping Hogan at a distance for the time-being. That's understandable, but it was a little shocking to see the company effectively try and delete 'The Hulkster' from their records. On WWE's official website at least, Hogan was a dirty word. Having since apologised for his words, Hulk retains hopes that he'll be able to return to the WWE mix sometime in the future. There's a good chance that will happen, because both parties seemed to be enjoying his ambassadorial role in the company. WWE were once again celebrating the career of Hogan, before cutting all ties with him due to the ongoing racial controversy. What other WWE releases surprised you?
