7 New WWE Directions After Hell In A Cell 2017

1. Sami Zayn Turning Heel

Those conflicted facial expressions from Sami Zayn at Hell In A Cell were brilliant, weren't they? Torn between turning his back on the fans who had supported him and helping a man he once considered his best friend, Sami sold the dilemma perfectly. Now, he's finely poised to become one of SmackDown's top heels.

That's quite the improvement on 'happy-go-lucky loser babyface'. Come SmackDown, Sami will be called upon to explain himself, and that's where he will come into his own. Think back to those fiery promos he shared with Mick Foley on Raw; when he's given good material, Zayn is one hell of a talker.

Sami won't be 100% pro-Owens, but he will justify his actions due to Shane McMahon's potentially career-ending elbow from atop the Cell to his pal. For the first time since moving to SmackDown, Zayn has direction. Best of all, Owens has back up again, and that suits his character.

Just ask Chris Jericho.
