7 Original Documentaries That Should Air On WWE Network
4. An Honest Look At The Death Of Chris Benoit
It's a subject that WWE always avoids with good reason. They don't want to talk about Chris Benoit because he killed his wife and son followed by himself in the summer of 2007. It's one of those things that WWE never wants to talk about. However, if WWE Network really wants to get people talking then they should devote at least an hour to talking about what happened when Benoit died as well as what WWE was thinking when they devoted a full three hour episode of Raw to him. If they really want WWE Network to become a destination for wrestling fans then they will have to be edgy a bit and it doesn't get much edgier than talking about the death of Benoit. It's not like they would be celebrating. All they have to do is have some candid comments from key people in his life at the time and from the decision makers in WWE. What Benoit did was brutal. It should not be celebrated. That doesn't mean it has to be completely ignored either. It happened and it can still be discussed as long as it's presented in the right format, which WWE would likely be able to do very well. The odds of this ever happening are pretty slim. Since WWE never even mentions Benoit's name, it would be hard for them to promote it, much less devote time to putting it over.
