The Wrestling Observer revealed that Kevin Owens pitched as hard as he could to convince those in charge that he was the ideal opponent for The Undertaker at WrestleMania. Apparently, management disagreed with his ideas, and this is why Owens was given the WWE Intercontinental Title back. Not only did it clear space for Dean Ambrose to move onto other things, but it would also (hopefully) placate Owens. That's unlikely, because now KO will probably be stuck in a multi-man bout in the mid card rather than facing one of the biggest stars in wrestling history. Owens is a lifelong wrestling fan, so he knows what it means to face someone like The Undertaker. His big 'Mania idea was rejected outright, and he's been replaced by a non-wrestling part-timer who has waltzed right in and taken the match he craved. That has to sting a little. Facing The Undertaker at WrestleMania is a spot that's guaranteed to be high up on the card, therefore making more money for those who share the stage with him. For Owens, that's now not going to happen. Shane McMahon is the one to benefit from creative turning down his plea to wrestle Undertaker, which must piss Owens off just a bit... Who else do you think should be pissed that Shane McMahon is facing The Undertaker at WrestleMania? Are you looking forward to the match?
