7 Positives Heading Into WWE Hell In A Cell 2018
6. Orton Vs. Hardy Feels Surprisingly Fresh
Emphasis on surprisingly. WWE managed to take a feud we saw over a decade ago and turn it into a 2018 match genuinely worth getting excited for.
A few months ago, this match would've looked pretty awful. With Orton and Hardy both being babyface veterans past their prime, having a match over the United States Championship wouldn't have done anything for anyone (take notes, Backlash '18). Instead, we've seen Jeff drop the US belt, watched Orton turn heel, and can enjoy a feud that actually makes sense landing inside of the cell.
With 'The Viper' looking about as mentally unstable and sadistic as ever, we can surely expect a performance worth investing in. 'The Charismatic Enigma', on the other hand, finds himself in his first ever Hell in a Cell match. With Hardy admitting that Orton's mind games are working and them being trapped inside the cell together, what could've been an otherwise bland match-up looks to provide some quality in-ring storytelling.
Even if the match somehow sucks, we're at least guaranteed one falling Jeff Hardy. Those are always nice.
