1. John Cena
But as excellent as all of these prospective bouts would no doubt be, none would be able to match the abundant star power of a WrestleMania meeting between AJ Styles and John Cena. And its not just the popularity of these two that would make it such a spectacle, as theres also a pretty rich subtext to this that has gradually been written over the years. Back in 2002, we saw Cena make his WWE debut. Meanwhile, in the same year, Styles had a tryout match with the company but eventually turned them down for the sake of his girlfriend's education. The ensuing 14 years saw both men take very different routes to the toppractically polar opposite routes, in factbut now in 2016 they both find themselves playing in the big leagues once more with the WWE. Furthermore, having Styles face Cena at Mania would be the ultimate means by which to get him known to the as-yet-unenlightened casual fans. Not that there seems to be a great deal of them, though. And how big of a rub would it be for Styles to defeat John Cena in his first ever WrestleMania? It doesnt really get much bigger than that. Doubts may linger over Cenas fitness, but given his track record of freakishly short recovery timesnot to mention the fact that hes already back in the gymthis blockbuster dream match may have more of a shot at becoming a reality than many first expected.
