7 Professions WWE Superstars May Have Portrayed Incorrectly

3. The Repo Man

"Repo" is short for "repossession" so what a "repo man" -- or "repo woman" -- does is repossess property from people who have neglected to make on-time rent or lease payments. The repo person not only has to locate the property that is related to the outdated payments, but also actually go on-site and procure such. Simply put, this is not an easy job as it also contains an emotional element of taking something away from someone who is likely in need. After all, removal of that property could potentially impact a business or affect a person's opportunity to work.

WWE's Repo Man -- portrayed by Barry Darsow, who was also the man behind former Demolition member Smash -- approached things pretty differently. He was known to say, "What's mine is mine and what's yours is mine." In other words, the guy just took whatever he wanted, even if there was not a clear-cut debt owed. Like when he stole Randy Savage's hat. In another WWE promo, he repossessed a car because the lady was "three days late on her car payments," but realistically, a car is not taken away until multiple payments have been missed.

One thing that is correct about the Repo Man was him carrying a rope to the ring. That is indeed a tow rope, which would help tie a car to a towing vehicle. Furthermore, if a repo man/woman does have to covertly procure items from a delinquent consumer, then the Repo Man tip-toeing around made perfect sense.
