Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson were always going to have an uphill battle on the main roster, but circumstances somewhat beyond their control made their situation substantially worse.

Injuries to both within their first year hampered their prospects (despite the company's improved stance on knocks, the "tape it up and work through it, brother" mentality still burns bright within Vince McMahon himself) even more than their stocky physiques and reliance on white hot matches over red hot promos. The table has inadvertently set itself rather perfectly for the pair to finally take what should have been theirs a long time ago.

Since The Bar dropped the Raw doubles straps to Braun Strowman and actual school kid Nicholas, the belts haven't escaped from a comedic cul-de-sac. The Deleters of Worlds literally laughed their way to supremacy, whilst The B-Team's entire push was based on them being complete jokes for most of their main roster careers.

SummerSlam should be the day the laughter dies. After weeks of threatening to tear through Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel, the August supershow should see The Revival finally go as hard as their menacing opening theme suggests. The men can make the belts as much they can make the men.
