7 Reasons Donald Trump On WWE SmackDown Would Be A Huge Mistake

6. What Does He Do?

If President Trump shows up on SmackDown, what would he actually do on the show?

Would he be seen solely via a pre-taped segment, or would he actually be in Los Angeles to appear on the show live? And if that happens, would it be in-ring, or backstage? Who would interact with the president? Vince McMahon? Hulk Hogan? AJ Styles? The New Day?

Maybe Trump will throw out pancakes with Big E. Or perhaps he’ll join Elias for a song. Or maybe he’ll reunite with Bobby Lashley to reminisce about WrestleMania 23 and the Battle of the Billionaires. None of that sounds particularly interesting, and really, can anyone think of a home run of an activity for the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES to do on a wrestling show?

There’s a good chance Trump would record his appearance remotely, but wouldn’t that negate the entire point of him being on SmackDown in the first place? The entire ratings grab would be POTUS showing up on the show and interacting with the characters firsthand, not some bland, scripted and pre-taped gibberish.
