1. A WWE Title Match At SummerSlam Against Brock Lesnar Is A Huge Deal
When Brock Lesnar returned to WWE in 2012 they put him into a feud with Cena immediately. The story behind the rivalry was pretty easy to understand. Lesnar came back to prove that he was still the best, so he wanted to face off with the top dog. They had a very physical brawl in leading up to the match, which was also intense and even featured some blood. Cena ended up winning. It was a result that a lot of fans didn't like. They also have history dating back to over a decade ago when Lesnar was a top guy and Cena was on the rise. Lesnar won the matches they had back then. A WWE Title shot for Lesnar seems inevitable since WWE sent out a poll asking who Lesnar should challenge at SummerSlam and it listed all the guys in the ladder match for the WWE Title except Kane, who wasn't a part of the match at that point. Matching Lesnar up with a champion Cena would make this match feel more important than the last time they went at it. Since Lesnar is the guy that ended the Undertaker's undefeated streak at WrestleMania his status in the company has risen. He's a bigger star than he was before, even as a part-timer. If Cena dropped the title to Lesnar and then Brock ended up dropping it to a guy like Daniel Bryan or Cesaro at Night of Champions (Lesnar is expected to work that show) that would make Cena something of a transitional champion. It's not something that usually happens when Cena wins the WWE Title, but it's not like it would hurt him either. It makes a lot of sense to do Cena vs. Lesnar for the WWE Title at SummerSlam. WWE needs a big match for that show. It doesn't get much bigger than that.
