7 Reasons Why The Rock Will Wrestle At WrestleMania 31

6. He Will Get Paid Well Even With The Budget Cuts In WWE

Money is a factor. It always is whether they want to say it or not. While we don't know how much money WWE paid Rock to appear in 2011, then wrestle in 2012 and 2013 it was rumored to be in the range of about $5 million each year. That doesn't mean he got that up front, but when you're in the main event you get a percentage of the gate too, so there are other ways for him to make the money. Whenever Rock has spoken about possibly wrestling again he has mentioned that he'd like to have a deal similar to what he had before. In other words, he's probably not going to be taking any discounts. When you think about it, though, he's got so much money that he should be willing to maybe take a little less as a favor to WWE for all that they've done for him. It's understandable that he wants to get what he feels he deserves, but don't let that be the reason why he doesn't come back for that one more match. It's an interesting situation from WWE's point of view because they're currently in the process of trying to save money. There are reports that they're trying to shave off about $20 million off the budget by the end of the year due to the amount of money they have lost from WWE Network already. If you're WWE and you're trying to save money, can you really afford to bring in The Rock? It may not happen for that reason.
