7 Reasons Why Supermodel Ellie Gonsalves Is "The Next Big Thing"

1. Because Paul Heyman Says So

For WWE fans, this was the only real slide that counted. Paul Heyman is one of the most respected, most entertaining talents in WWE. His genius for the business has kept him on the inside since his humble beginnings as a manger in the old territory days. His penchant for cutting one incredible promo after another makes him one of the most must-see personalities in Vince McMahon's company. And his eye for talent is legendary. He was the one that gave CM Punk the opportunity to grow. When no one else believed in him, Punk had a supporter in Paul Heyman. Paul was there for him and stood by him as Punk grew into The Best in the World. And Heyman's association with Brock Lesnar is of course one of the most successful, longest tenured relationships in the industry. After all it was Paul that nicknamed Lesnar "The Next Big Thing," a moniker that was definitely the most fitting of any that WWE fans had heard in years. The reason for that is Brock's explosion onto WWE and the impact that he had in the business. Lesnar was young, athletic and eager to prove himself in the ring. His initial run was perhaps the most dominant that WWE fans had ever seen to that point or perhaps since. And Paul saw it coming. So when he also refers to Ellie Gonsalves as The Next Big Thing, it's not to be taken lightly. Does this mean that Ellie will show up on Raw and deliver the F5 to half of the WWE locker room? Probably not. But the fact is that Paul is a very smart, very savvy businessman, both inside and outside of professional wrestling. And when it comes to his eye for talent, he is very rarely ever wrong. And for WWE fans, it all boils down to one very simple truth. If Paul Heyman said it, then it must be true.
