7 Reasons Why The Shield Must Not Reunite At WWE TLC 2017

1. There's Not Enough Time

One of the main reasons behind the Ambrose/Rollins reunion angle's success is that WWE have taken their time. Rather than rushing through it, the company have let the storyline unfold naturally at its own pace, and each individual moment has resonated particularly strongly as a result. This is the blueprint they should look to follow with all future stories - including the Shield reunion.

TLC is just four weeks away. If WWE pull the trigger on this angle, it's going to be an extreme rush job to pop ticket sales for a lowly B-level pay-per-view, just like Reigns vs. Cena. Recent history suggests this won't stop WWE from doing it, but it definitely should, because you can't tell a story of this magnitude in such little time.

The Shield are the most important WWE stable of the past decade, and their eventual reunion deserves a full build, unhindered by such a stringent deadline. The company must squeeze as much life out of it as possible, and this means pulling the trigger at the conclusion of a long, satisfying journey, rather than fumbling their way through a half-baked story that isn't even close to fully formed.
