7. Brian Pillman: Crazy Like A Fox

What Is It: 5 October 2019 will mark 22 years since Brian Pillman passed. Think of this as a tribute to his life and career then, one orchestrated by the man who penned a book looking at Pillman's finest hour. Author Liam O’Rourke will be joined by Dave Meltzer, Kevin Sullivan, Mark Madden and Brian's son Pillman Jr to discuss the 'Loose Cannon' character.
O'Rourke's 'Crazy Like A Fox' (published in 2017) was a thorough written examination of Pillman's work, and this will be a brilliant complement to it. It'll be especially interesting to hear Brian Jr's memories of his late father and hear from Sullivan, who was there when Pillman successfully engineered his release from WCW contract in 1996.
Pillman's 'Loose Cannon' remains one of the more curious, exciting wrestling characters even two decades on. It's sure to make the Sunday afternoon aftermath to Double Or Nothing's mayhem worthwhile. Don't miss it.
