7 Reasons You Must Watch Starrcast II

1. Remembering Owen

Time: Thursday 23 May. 6.30pm-8pm (Friday 24 May. 2.30am-4am UK)

What Is It: Here it is, our personal pick for the most unmissable show of the entire four-day festival.

'Remembering Owen' might be a replacement for the much-anticipated 'Ric Flair Roast' (pulled due to Flair's ongoing health concerns), but don't let that sour you on its potential. This is the first stage show gold bracelet wearers at Caesar Palace will see, and it'll be enjoyed worldwide on Fite TV too.

The atmosphere will be electric, and then attention will turn to paying respects for one of the best workers the industry has ever seen. Jim Ross will host a panel of guests, "including those who knew Owen best". Bret Hart, Sean Waltman, Bruce Prichard and more will already be on hand for the weekend, so maybe they'll play a part.

This is the right way to kick off a weekend of wrestling memories. The fact it occurs 20 years to the day that Owen tragically fell to his death at WWE's Over The Edge 1999 pay-per-view is also pretty poignant. All these years on, wrestling fans still want to celebrate Owen.
