7 Shocking (But Believable) Theories About WWE 2018

1. Kenny Omega Wrestles In WWE

As nice a story as Chris Jericho not asking for Vince McMahon's permission before wrestling in Japan again is, it doesn't add up. Why would Y2J jeopardise a relationship he has spent close to 20 years perfecting just so he could swan off and work with Kenny Omega? Again, it's a nice story, but not believable.

It makes much more sense to believe McMahon gave Jericho his blessing with a view to the future. Vince is a businessman first and foremost, and a rematch between 'Alpha and Omega' on WWE turf would rake in the dollars. Is this a sign that Kenny Omega will wrestle for the biggest promotion in the world in 2018? Maybe so.

If nothing else, it's a tantalising prospect. Seeing Omega vs. Jericho in a rematch at SummerSlam (for example) writes itself, and it'd excite the entire wrestling world to see WWE working alongside NJPW's office, even if that alliance was temporary.

There's money to be made, and Vince McMahon will want it.
