7 Surprises We Could See At WWE Survivor Series 2017

3. Tension Rise Between The New Day

The New Day went out of their way this past Tuesday on SmackDown to point out that one of their advantages over The Shield is that none of them has ever turned on the others. It seemed like a strange thing to point out, unless they intend to expand on it.

This wouldn’t be the first time that WWE has teased tensions between the members of The New Day. During their feud with The Wyatt family, it seemed as though they were hinting at an Xavier Woods turn, as he began falling under Bray Wyatt’s spell. Nothing ever materialized from that, but the precedent is there. The New Day was formed three years ago, and they have very little left to accomplish as a team. It is possible that WWE sees more value in three individual stars than in one team.

Whatever we see this Sunday, it isn’t likely to be a split of the group. It is more likely that, if The New Day’s time is up, something grander will be in the works for a breakup.
