5. The Warlord's Rumble Appearance Was Very Brief!
http://youtu.be/e-bEAvnQRvg The Warlord was a member of the Powers of Pain tag team when he showed up in WWE in 1988. He was one of the strongest wrestlers there's ever been. A lot of fans remember that late 1980s/early 1990s period as being a "steroid era" of sorts and he was an example of that. Whether he was on them or not is irrelevant, but he definitely had the look of a muscular guy that was around during that era. Fans were taught that a big guy like him might do well in a match like the Rumble because they are harder to send over the top to the floor. The Warlord was the 21st entrant in the match. He stood on the apron, did a muscle pose, stepped into the ring and then was greeted by a Hulk Hogan clothesline that sent him over the top to the floor. His official time in the Rumble match was two seconds. That two second elimination of The Warlord was a record until Santino Marella broke it in 2009. Congrats to The Warlord for holding the record for twenty years. It was arguably the most significant thing he did in his career.
