7 Things We Learned From WWE Payback

7. Kane Is Not A Boliever

An impromptu match was made on the Payback Kickoff show between Bo Dallas and Kofi Kingston, but the bout never had a chance to begin because Kane came out and attacked Kofi Kingston with a Chokeslam and a Tombstone Piledriver. The commentary team made comments about some tweets Kofi had sent out about disagreeing with Stephanie McMahon's decision regarding Daniel Bryan, but that is where things seem to end. Kane did not attack Kofi during either of the matches he had on Raw or Main Event and there really hasn't been much discussion of the incident. This only happened to keep Kane visible while WWE waits to see if Daniel Bryan will be able to defend his title at Money in the Bank or if they will have to put the title on the line in the yearly ladder match. If Kane doesn't get his stretcher match at the PPV then he will likely end up in the ladder match. If Bryan is unable to return in time for MITB then we may see Kane walk out of the PPV with the title, but he would only end up being a transitional champion until Bryan was able to regain the title.
