7 Things We Learned From ESPN's WWE Special "Behind The Curtain"
ESPN did a fantastic job at looking at WWE behind the curtain.
The majority of ESPN's E:60 Behind The Curtain documentary was filmed two years ago at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando and focused on three wrestlers: Corey Graves (real name Matt Polinsky), Xavier Woods (Austin Watson) and Adam Rose (Ray Leppan). The wrestlers were referred to by their stage names and real names in the documentary. ESPN also released special videos about Tyler Breeze and Colin Cassady as online only content. We also got to see interviews with key WWE decision makers like Vince McMahon and Triple H (Paul Levesque). ESPN reporter Jeremy Schaap sat down with Vince and Triple H while Hunter was also shown working at NXT shows as they gave us an incredible look at how everything comes together. If you missed the show in the United States, it will likely be replayed at some point on one of the several ESPN channels. For those of you outside the US, you can find it online if you do some searching for it. The special didn't get huge ratings by any means. The number was around 700,000 viewers, which is solid although that's only about 1/5 of an average Raw audience in the US. It's unlikely that anything that happened on this show will change things on WWE programming, but it definitely makes people appreciate what the performers go through to make it in WWE. Here's a look at seven things we can take away from the ESPN special about WWE.
