7 Things We Learned From UFC 194 - Aldo vs. McGregor

6. 194 Is The Second Largest Gate Of All-Time

The official word came down that UFC 194 was the second largest gate in the promotion's history, pulling in a massive 10.1 million dollars. 16,516 fans packed the MGM Grand Garden Arena for the largest attendance total in Las Vegas. Only UFC 129 at the Rogers Centre in Toronto, headlined by Jake Shields challenging Georges St. Pierre pulled in a higher gate. The 10.1 million replaces the previous United States record holders of UFC 189 - also featuring McGregor taking on Chad Mendes as a replacement for Jose Aldo - and the Anderson Silva/Chael Sonnen rematch from UFC 148. The number of free "comped" tickets is not revealed, but based on those numbers 194 represents an average revenue of $611.53 for every ticket issued. Dana White and the Fertittas must be doing the happy dance after Conor's big victory.
