7 Things We Learned From WWE's Q3 Earnings Conference Call
4. The Network Is Expanding
WWE Network subscription rates were in line with the company's expectations for Q3. As per their financial reports, the service averaged 1.52 million subscribers across the quarter, approximately 400,000 of which were international. They expect this to slip to 1.47 million in Q4, as is usually the case at the end of the year, but anticipate considerable growth in China.
On caller asked about localised content for international Network markets, with Wilson touting the success of WWE Saturday Night - a weekly streaming show exclusive to Mexico and Central America. Barrios, meanwhile, talked up the fact that WWE now present live pay-per-views in nine different languages, noting that this is a "key driver in local viewership."
With regards to China, Wilson stated they are satisfied with the Network's launch there, and have now established a team dedication to increasing their digital and social engagement within the country.
The company still plan on delivering multiple price tiers, too. It has been over a year since these were first mentioned, and Barrios stated that they still plan on implementing such features sometime in the future, but didn't offer any specifics. Regardless, diversifying the Network remains a key priority for WWE, both domestically and abroad.
