7 Things We Want To See From Brock Lesnar's UFC 200 Return

2. The Unexpected - A Big Win For Lesnar

Here's the honest truth: fans, most anyway, want to see Lesnar win. And they should. It's good for the sport. Why?

Lesnar brings eyeballs, brings in new fans, and gets people talking. Right now, the two biggest stars in MMA and the UFC are Conor McGregor and Ronda Rousey. Rousey hasn't fought since losing her title in November 2015 and won't be back until the beginning of 2017 at the earliest, if at all, while McGregor is coming off a non-title fight loss to Nate Diaz, and is booked in a pointless rematch against Diaz at UFC 202, where he may very well lose again.

While UFC revenues are up, the sport is once again low on star power, as Paige VanZant's career seems headed out of the octagon, questions remain about the ceiling for young Sage Northcutt, Jon Jones' popularity seems to have peaked, and a number of divisions are in chaos following short title reigns.

The best thing that could happen at UFC 200 is a big Lesnar win. Hunt is out of the title picture anyway, and hardcore MMA fans know his value. For the sport, a short term boost is the best result this fight could have - and that needs Lesnar getting his hand raised.
